Cosi fan tutte - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Così fan tutte is a witty and elegant comedy that explores love, trust, temptation, and human nature.

Two young officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo, proudly believe that their fiancées, the sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella, will remain faithful under any circumstances. Their cynical friend Don Alfonso challenges this belief and proposes an unusual experiment to prove that no one's heart is immune to temptation.

Pretending to leave for war, the two men secretly return in disguise as exotic strangers and begin courting each other's fiancée. With the help of the clever maid Despina, who encourages the sisters to enjoy life and seize new opportunities, the playful game grows increasingly complicated.

As emotions become genuine and loyalties are tested, the disguises create confusion, jealousy, and unexpected affection. When the truth is finally revealed, the four lovers must confront their own weaknesses and decide whether forgiveness and understanding are stronger than pride and deception.

Essence
Così fan tutte is one of Mozart's most sophisticated and insightful operas, combining sparkling comedy, exquisite ensembles, and remarkable psychological depth. Beneath its playful humor lies a timeless reflection on love, fidelity, forgiveness, and the complexity of human relationships, reminding us that the heart is rarely as simple or as predictable as we imagine.
