Every year at New Year the Vienna Philharmonic presents a program consisting of the lively and at the same time nostalgic music from the vast repertoire of the family of Johann Strauß and its contemporaries. This concert is now broadcast in over 90 countries worldwide.
The traditional New Year´s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra takes place every year on January 1 at 11:15 AM in the Golden Hall of Vienna's Musikverein. The concert is televised worldwide and offers to a worldwide audience a spectacle of classical music and dance.
